Last week I attended the graduation ceremony of our Immigrant Civic Leadership Program and was reminded first hand of Coro’s impact. Even though I was meeting our newest alumni for the first time, I immediately recognized their sense of purpose, stories of growth, and strong bonds with one another from my own experience as a Coro Fellow more than 25 years ago and many conversations with all of you.

Infrastructure: Affordable Housing Initiatives

You’re invited to hear HPD Deputy Commissioner Daniel Hernandez discuss two critical initiatives to boost affordable housing construction. Leora Jontef (LNY24) is hosting the informal discussion at HPD on February 18. The Mayor’s ambitious plan to build or preserve 200,000 units of affordable housing is partially dependent on two equally ambitious city-wide initiatives: Mandatory Inclusionary Housing (MIH) and Zoning for Quality and Affordability (ZQA).
